ABOUT KATIE

Katie Jenkins McDaniel grew up in Etta, Mississippi. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Mississippi and earned her Masters of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Mississippi College. At MC, she was awarded the first annual Tristan Harris PA Professionalism Award. She is a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, receiving Diplomate Fellow status through extensive Dermatology coursework. She is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and Licensed by the Mississippi State Board of Medicine.

In PA school, Katie fell in love with dermatology and has practiced at DAO since May 2019. She practices medical dermatology, encompassing everything from acne and psoriasis management to skin cancer screen ing and surveillance. She is a strong believer in patient education and empowerment and strives to provide her patients with the best possible care.

In her spare time, Katie enjoys spending time with her husband Chase, and their golden retrievers, Maddux and Poppy. She loves being outdoors, traveling, and attending Ole Miss sporting events.
